China establishes 3D printing technology industry alliance
Recently, in order to promote the industrialization of 3D printing technology in China, the China 3D printing technology industry alliance, jointly sponsored by Asian Manufacturing Association, Huazhong University of science and technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Tsinghua University and other authoritative scientific research institutions and leading 3D industry enterprises, was officially established.
The essence of 3D printing technology is "rapid prototyping technology", also known as "incremental technology" and "additive technology", which will lead to disruptive changes in industrial design, new materials, lean manufacturing and other fields.
In China, in January this year, the team led by Shi Yusheng, vice president of the school of materials science and engineering of Huazhong University of science and technology, successfully developed the world's largest 3D stereo printer, and was selected as the "top ten scientific and technological progress in China in 2011" by academicians of the two academies based on this research achievement.
According to the introduction, China 3D printing technology alliance is the first 3D Industry Alliance in the world so far, marking that the scientific research institutions and enterprises engaged in 3D printing technology in China have changed the adverse situation of single combat since then, which is conducive to the establishment of industry standards as soon as possible, as well as the strengthening of extensive exchanges with governments or international. At present, the Asian Manufacturing Association is planning an advanced manufacturing park in Asia, which will support 3D printing technology as a leading industry, and in the near future, accelerate the establishment of a national 3D printing technology research and development base and industrial demonstration base.
At the same time, the China 3D printing technology seminar passed the articles of association of China 3D printing technology industry alliance and elected an organization. Professor Wang Huaming, School of materials, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was elected as the first president of the board of directors, and Wuhan Binhu Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd., AVIC IP Co., Ltd., Wuxi feirakang Rapid Manufacturing Co., Ltd. were elected as founding members.
